Alaska, Denali Park, Cantwell, B &B, German hosts Cantwell is located on George Parks Highway at the west end of Denali Highway, 210 miles north of Anchorage, 150 miles south of Fairbanks, and 28 miles south of Denali Park. Cantwell is accessible by railroad, road and air. The earliest inhabitants of the area were nomadic Indians who trapped, hunted and fished throughout Interior Alaska. Originally, Cantwell was a flag stop on the Alaskan Railroad. The population of Cantwell cousists of emmigrants and Athabascan Indians. Its economy is based on tourism and seasonal work. Some of the residents are hunters, fishers, and trappers. In Cantwell, there are 3 B&B`s, one of them run buy German hosts. The name of this house is "Blue Home" B&B. It`is located in the old part of Cantwell. "Blue Home" is surrounded by mountains and offers superb views..
